Hello,
I have a Kenmore Disposer. Over the last few weeks it has been sticking and I had to use the alan wrench key to get it unjammed many times. I was running it the other day and there was a noise like a key or pin breaking and now the motor runs but the blades in the sink don't turn.
Is there a jam nut I can tighten or is it just time to replace the Disposer? I have never done this type of job and didn't want to jump in blind.
If I have to replace it will I have to rework the drain pipes or are most disposers the same? Will be be an easy replacement? I am good with tools and know basic electrical as the motor is hard wired. My only concern is if I will have to redo the drain system.
Any help will be greatly appreciated...
Thanks

Well I couldn't find a way to fix my old one so I bought a new one and just completed the install. One of the easiest things I have done around the house. So glad I replaced it, can't believe how quite the new one is...
Best of luck to all on your DIY projects, take care...
