My refrigerator started running cold & I noticed ice in the milk. It runs continously. The frige is about 30 degrees and the freezer about -18. If I turn it off using the control if will stay off about 10 minuites then goes back on. There is no frost in the freezer & the fan is working in the freezer. Also, when I turn the frige off the drain hose makes a gurgle noise. Changing the settings does not change anything. The compresser was replaced in this unit about 4-5 years ago. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.

If you don’t see any frost build up in the freezer then the unit is probably shutting off to go into its defrost cycle ok. From your description, it appears that the refrigerator thermostat is failing to shut the unit off once it gets down to temperature.

Thank you for the input. I spoke to a repair shop that said it could be compressor or relay-I din't think it could be the compresser due to the fact it is getting cold? How hard is a thermostate to replace?

It depends on were the control is located. But generally they are not that big of a deal to replace.
