My whirlpool refrigerator came wih an uninstalled Icemaker. I decided to install it as it looks really easy. The problem that I am having is that where there is a wiring harness with a male connector on the ice maker itself, there is no female end to "plug it into" on the freezer wall, nor do I see any wires coming in forr this purpose. Is ther some super secret panel or something that I need to remove to access this? Thanks in advance to all who may know the answer! Mike

You will need to pull off the back panel in the freezer to locate the other end of the plug. But, is your refrigerator completely set up for an icemaker? Is there an inlet valve and all the related plumbing?

Gearhead yes it is, all of the stuff is in place and plumbing is all there, I appreciate the reply. While I am at it, (asking questions that is!) is all I need to do is bolt and hook up the water line and plug it in? Or is there more? My freakin manual has nothing about hooing up the ice maker that the dang fridge came with!!! Again, thanks for the help. Mike
