Hello, This is the symptom I am getting on my Whirlpool gas dryer.
1.)I start the dryer and the glow coil glows. 2.)The gas valve opens up and I see the flame. 3.)The flame stays on for about 2 minutes, and the glow coil does not glow anymore.
I have to wait for about 25 minutes before I can turn the dryer back so that the glow coil can come on once again and start the above cycle.
So far I have replaced the 2 coils on the gas valve and the igniter.
What else would cause this problem?
Thank you,
Ken

The problem was the thermal fuser was intermittently working. It would give a reading on the ohm meter then it would not give a reading. Replaced fuser, all good!

I ordered new coils which I should receive in a couple of days that with solve it. All the fuses and thermostats appeared to give the correct continuity when tested. The thermal fuse you replaced: Is it the white strip type measuring about 1.5" x 0.3"? If the coils do not work for me, then I will closely look at the fuse you replaced. Thanks in advance.
