I bought a whirlpool w10134009 which arrived about 30 minutes ago. This is aheating element with threaded posts. How do I unscrew the one in the machine and then get this screw in. The round tops are brass and do not appear to be able to be screwed in. I am in a quandry.

For you would probably be easier to turn off breaker and pull dishwasher out.. remove the heater nuts on the under side...

Ther are nuts on the underside? I thought I could do it from the topside before I bought the part.
