The fan located behind the ice drawer makes a loud howling or whistling sound like you would hear from the window of an older house. I saw 2 similiar postings, but not for my actual brand and model.
One web posting said the howling was caused by the fan motor at the rear of the ice drawer.
Another individual had a repairman replace the “medium fan control”. He added you have 3 settings: high, medium and low and the medium control was failing? (My unit has 2 temp knobs inside the refrigerator door that dial from 1-9.)
Does my unit have a control that varies speed of the fan inside the freezer compartment? (i.e., high, medium and low) and where is it located? Could this be the problem? or what should I do next?
