Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 1/9/2010(UTC) Posts: 1		took off top and notices that the felt was torn in half. put a very small amount of 3 in 1 oil on drum edge just on the top and am running it. no squeak and runs great. but - read everywhere not to use 3 in 1. so, my question is should i call someone to service or since i put just a little bit am i good.

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 3/29/2009(UTC) Posts: 11,699		You are ok in the short term, but in the long term the 3 in 1 will attract lint and lose its effectiveness and you will know this has happened because of the noise it will make. Then you can change out the felt and be done with it.
