Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 1/6/2010(UTC) Posts: 1		my dryer was working yesterday but it started to squeek realy bad and then it turned off with 12 min left in the cycle. i waited about 3 hrs and tryed to restart the unit and it did but the drum is draging on the back side and it is very hard to turn. i think it is the dryer suport shaft and support that are worn out. if so how do i replace it.

Bra wires are notorious for this. Be careful, in case it is something sharp. If OK you will have to open it up and find the problem. Note: That often it is hard to locate the noise location re: sounds like it is coming from the back but in reality the origin is at the front. You may as well give the unit a basic overhaul if you have to open it up. Check all rollers, belt, drum seals etc for slop and wear. Replace as necessary. Give the interior a good cleaning including the motor and blower wheel. Also a good time to clean/check your vent system.
