The belts are driving, I have taken the inside of the washer out and the machine will agitate. After puting it back together it agitates. When I put clothes in it will not agitate. It will spin.

In order to switch from the agitation to the spin the motor should move in an opposite direction. The washer can not spin in the agitation cycle.

If it tried to agitate while it's in spin cycle then the transmission is bad.
