**** UPDATED ****All lights and cooling fan are working. Removed the interior panel on freezer side. Evaporator is not cold, defroster is not hot. In back, the compressor and condensor fan are both working. However, the compressor is hot and the relay mounted to the compressor appears to cycle on for about 10 seconds and back off again (every few minutes). The condensor fan runs continuously. Suggestions?

Here are your parts

Here is the tech sheet

Could be the compressor is toast or the start up devices are NG.

Here are a couple sites on how to check the various components.
It is important that you check the compressor windings as there is no use putting dollars into it if a winding is shot.

One thing to try is run it with the capacitor disconnected to see if it will go.
The problem with checking a capacitor with just a multimeter is that you cannot check it at it's operating voltage and that is where it may start to leak current(not hold a charge).

:) I removed the compressor relay for testing and noticed that small pieces of metal were falling out of it. It made alot of noise as I shook it and just did not sound like a switch opening and closing. I decided to dig a little deeper and managed to get the relay open. The noise and pieces of metal were from a round disc that was broken in several places. I can't tell from the wiring diagram if the disc moves or not, but if it does it basically disintegrated. I've got a new one on order from your website. I've got my fingers crossed that this is the only issue. Thanks for all your help.
