I have a GE Monogram built in which has had continual icing problems. I ordered a new drain pan heater and drain pan foam insulation (part numbers WR51X321 and WR17X3037) because in all my fiddling they both got kind of screwed up. I recently learned that GE has a $300 icing repair kit (WR49X10021). I'd like to know what this kit contains and what is involved in installing it especially since I have never been able to remove the grill immediately above the doors (pictured below).

Cannot say what is involved with the install, perhaps you can get some info off the install sheet which is shown. Click on the above picture and you will get more views of the kit. Hopefully someone who has actually installed this kit will jump in. |
