My gas oven will not ignite automatically. The electronic panel does the pre-heat count-down like it lit but did not light. I can turn the oven off, place a match in the bottom part of the oven and re-start the oven. It will then light and bake as normal.

The broiler is lighting fine - the issue is only with the oven. The igniter has been replaced several times and the wire that connects to the oven igniter has also been replaced in the past.

Any idea what I need to replace ?

Yes, you need to replace the ignitor. It is not glowing bright enough. Therefor it will not open the gas valve fully. Tom www.applianceeducator,com/parts.htm
