Hi. Had family in town for the holiday, they did some cooking, used the timer on my older Whirlpool stove (Model # RF360BXYW2) and now it's stuck/broken. The timer sounds like it's grinding and won't stop. I called to order a replacement part from this site, and Whirlpool no longer makes it (Part Number: AP3031552). I never use the timer or self cleaning oven that is connected to this part. Can I cut the wire that goes to the battery w/o cutting power to the burners so this noise will stop (It's really loud)? Is there something I can unplug? Any other suggestions? I've taken it apart, checked all the connections, even added some WD40 to the gears to see if that would help, but it hasn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated as it sounds like the timer is going 24/7!

I had the same problem with the grinding noise and I disabled the clock by unplugging it from the back, but that disables the self-cleaning feature too. What I really need is a new clock/timer so that everything works again. But appliancepartspros says it's out of stock. Any wisdom where I can find this part?
