Wine cooler was not turning on, tested unit and found bad temp-control. unit is working now, but the temperture setting knob is set very low (almost off position) with temperture being very low axp. 42 deg.
Knob setting is from off to 7.

How can I correct temperture setting range?

What is the part number of the temperature control you installed? Have you put the temperature sensing bulb in the correct position?

Gene, The part # is WR9X585 from my local parts company matched to the model # of unit.(GE Wine cooler.) I place the sensing bulb were it was before.
Does the sensing bulb need to be touching the evap. coil?
Also I looked on the old cold control and there are two small screws marked ( IN and OUT), Do you know how to adjust settings?

The part number for the temperature control is correct. The sensing bulb should not touch the evaporator coil. The two small screws you mentioned are for a factory use only.
