The freezer and fresh food compartments were not cooling properly. I removed the back panel at the bottom of the unit and discovered that the DC Cond Fan (Part Nbr: AP4265957) never runs. The blade turns freely if you spin it with your finger.

I am prepared to order a replacement fan motor but would like to have advice troubleshooting this issue. Is it probably the fan motor or could the root cause be else where?

Thanks in advance.

Well I received the replacement fan motor BUT it appears that may have not been the defect. The new fan motor does not kick on either.

I don't know what to do next in trouble shooting this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Don

Probably a bad motherboard in the back of the fridg behind a metal cover. Remove the board and look for bad solder joints by the power relay. If ok, order a new motherboard AP4436216.
