When running a cycle the unit leaves excess water in the tub. When attempting to restart the spin cycle or other cycles, they only start occasionally when the selector is relocated. When it does drain/pump down, it seems to run OK, until it stops. This started nearly one month ago and has gradually gotten worse to the point now that it is more than an inconvenience. Any ideas?

Thank you very much

I am not getting your model to come up, but assuming this is a basic Whirlpool direct driver washer you need to take off the cabinet and check the pump and drain hoses for an obstruction.

This video will show you how.
