On my Frigidaire fed387cesb range the clock/control panel has gone blank and the oven does not work. The burners on top work fine. I'm guessing the control unit needs to be replaced but before I buy a $300 part that can't be returned I'm wondering if there is anything else I should look for? The oven light works, if that helps in a diagnosis. I tried turning off the power to see if it might reset and there was no change when I turned it back on.

If there is 120 VAC to the control board and the display is blank, then the control board has gone bad.
