Side by side is six years old. I emptied the ice tray in a cooler and now after a quick replacement everything is ok. A day later we hear a strange clicking sound from the freezer. Ice tray is froze solid. Sounds like a fan is clicking but not going around. I kept removing stuff until a piece of ice fell and boom fan moves again. I know the fan was below the ice tray. I thought it was done but today it is doing it again. Any idea on what he problem is? Should I just call the repair guy or is this a do it yourself.

Hi Brad,

The evaporator fan motor is one of most common problems with such refrigerators.

You can find the complete troubleshooting instructions in one of previous posts: http://forum.appliancepartspros...or-test-replacement.html

- The part number for the evaporator fan motor (without the thermistor) is AP3875639

- The part number for the evaporator fan motor (with the thermistor) AP3191003

- The part number for the main control board is AP3950129

Here are the break down diagrams for the GE refrigerator Model GSS22JEMCWW
