this washing machine has been very good to us, and its just now starting to act up. the only thing wrong is that you can hear the motor, but the tub doesnt spin or agitate. we took the easy way out & purchased a new washing machine, but now my sister wants it. can you help me?

These washers are prone to develop bad tub bearings and seals. The extra load on the belt will cause the belt to wear out. Check for a leaking seal above the tranny where the shaft goes into the bottom of the tub.
