Recently I've noticed both upper spray arm pause in the middle of the rotation. When pumping water through, it seems to stop part way through and water pressure sounds like it drops a bit. The lower arm does not pause so definitely as the upper, but it does low down slightly.

I removed most of the inside off all the way down to the food grinder mechanism and cleaned everything. I can't tell if there are any leaks from the tube feed assembly connections to the upper rack.

Any thoughts?

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL GU1500XTLQ0 Undercounter Dishwasher | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is the tech sheet and the manual

Perhaps it has something to do with APF see the manual.

Also check that the flapper on the unused port of the feed tube Item 1 in Section 10 of the parts is OK.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I'll take some time to look at the APF cycle. Three additional questions:

1. When I had everything apart--especially the chopper housing--I forgot to examine the condition of the check valve. Do you think this may have something to do with my problem if it's bad? (How can you tell if the check valve is bad?)

2. The thermal cut-off fuse just blew--today--in the middle of holiday baking season. I replaced it and am currently running it through a cycle. (Interestingly, the last thermal fuse I replaced was 12/22/08). While I understand thermal fuses have a "lifespan of sorts", they can often blow because of some malfunction. I wonder of the problem I'm having as described in this post be related to some malfunction that "put the thermal fuse over the edge". Thoughts?

3. The place where I purchased the thermal fuse warrantied the part for a lifetime. However, they also require the serial number of the dishwasher. The serial number on the door of the washer is no longer legible. Is there any other place where the serial number may be stamped?

Thanks.
