Recently moved into a new house, and we've been having problems with the fridge.
There's a fan in the under-sink cupboard next to the fridge that's making a LOT of noise. The fan seems to be related to the fridge (the downside to buying a house from an amateur electrician is that you discover a lot of weird stuff like this!) Any ideas on how to fix the fan, 'cos at this rate I'm going to be chucking it out the back door in a minute!
Don't know if it's relevant, but I think the fridge might have been switched off accidentally for a day or so. In addition, the light isn't coming on despite me having changed the bulb...

A Model Number may help other help you.
If the fan is noisy replace it.
If I understand you this fan is separate from the fridge. Perhaps there was a heat build up in this area so they installed a fan OR Maybe the condenser fan in the fridge stopped working and this was their fix instead of finding out what the real problem was OR A wire to the condenser fan has broken somewhere in the unit behind the covers and they could not find it so this was their way of getting around the problem. |
