Got a Kenmore washer, Model 80 (110.27812690) that is leaking from underneath somewhere. Leaning it back, it appears it is leaking were the motor and pump connect. Is this were they usually leak from? If so and it is the pump, how easy are they to swap out? I did a motor coupling a year ago on it, thanks to YouTube.

I'm also seeing some rust on the motor shaft that goes into the pump. Common? Granted the washer is over 10 year, heck thinking about it, it's 12+.

I just had the same problem, the pump is leaking at the motor. very easy to replace, that is once you get the washer shell off. then it is just two clips and two hoses to disconnect. but it may take a few wiggles of the pump to get it off the motor. you will probably lose about a quart of water in the process. pump costs about $40. good luck, jim
