On the tag it 120/240 volts 27 amps 60 HZ. My question is can it be wired for either 120 or 240 volts. There is only 120 in the house it is going into. So I need to know before I get it .

The washer can run with 120. the dryer needs 240 to heat

oh also i believe every brand dryer needs 240 to run the heater. i may be wrong on that and hope others will correct me on that if so but i really think every brand needs 240. washers only use 120 though
