Hi,

I have dishwasher that is about 9 or so years old. Recently I noticed water leaking from bottom of the dishwasher when it is running. It looks like it is leaking from where the drain is in the center of the washer. Looking at it from bottom it appears to be some kind of black color part from where it is dripping.

Any suggestion what could be problem and what parts are needed to fix this? Any suggestion greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
jay

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for FRIGIDAIRE FDB989GFC2 Frg(v1) / Refrigerator | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is the tech sheet with a better pump diagram

Remove the kick plate.
Then get yourself a flashlight and a small mirror. The ones that mechanics use are ideal (like a dentists mirror just larger). Could always tape a mirror to a stick. Also the mirror in a makeup compact works sometimes.
Then you can lay down and find the leak

Note that often where it is dripping from is not the actual leak location and the actual leak is higher up.
