My whirlpool direct deiver mackine is squeeking during the low-speed agitation, but not during the high agitation or spin. Could this be the transmission, there are very small amounts of oil on the floor.

Did you try to pinpoint the place of the sound?

How loud is it?

For more accurate advise I need the complete model number of the washer and more specific description of the problem.

Gene.
