I inherited a KitchenAid Mixer from my mother and it's more than 20 years old. Recently the speed control went haywire so it now has only one speed - too fast with a regular surge from fast to slightly faster back to fast etc... Is it the speed control plate or the Speed Control Phase board that should be replaced? I hate the thought of just throwing it away.
