I have a Kenmore dryer model 110.74972300 that starts fine and runs fine but the heat doesn't turn on. Could this be the thermostat? If so where exactly is the part located in the dryer? Thanks

I forgot to post in the original post that my dryer is heated by gas. A handyman already tried to fix it and he couldn't figure it out. He replaced a part inside the dryer next to the coil but it wasn't the problem. A friend of mine told me it might be the thermostat but we are not sure. Please let me know how we can check what the problem is.

Thanks in advance for your advice.
