Gene HI Gene I have done what you instructed above to my Whirlpool LER8857EQ1 dryer works fine now, is the temp selector or the cycling thermostat faulty.PLEASE HELP

What is the original problem with the dryer?

Dryer takes a long time to dry a load , it appears that dryer not heating at high heat . Checked heater element,dryer themal fuse using ohm meter have continuity on both parts. checked breaker panel and cleaned vent .found instruction you posted 11/24/09 [Locate the cycling thermostat (#8 on the diagram). Run the dryer on high heat and post the result.] When one of the small terminal was removed from the cycling thermostat, I then ran dryer on high heat .worked great .Is the cycling thermostat or temp selector faulty
