We recently took our dishwasher out to clean it out, and in the process of removing the hose from the drain pump, there is a rubber flap valve that has a hole on one side that slips over a notch in the pump outlet. I'm assuming that this lets water out, but prevents it from coming back down the drain hose and sitting in the bottom of the dishwasher. The part that slips over the notch tore and I have noticed water sitting in the very bottom of the tub. Where can I get a new flap valve? I've looked at all the diagrams and do not see it.

Normaly the flapper comes with the pump when you buy it new ... To order just the flapper may not be possible ... I have thrown away many pumps that have gone bad with good flappers ... You may try a used appliance repair shop in your area to see if any pumps with good flappers are being discarded.
