Dryer will not start, I replaced the rotary start switch, it worked for 3 times, then quit again. Should I replace the resistor next or could it be something else? could you give me a ballpark figure to repair this machine?
Thank you

Here are your parts
Blower & drive assembly replacement parts for General Electric DDE7900SBLWW Electric dryer | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is a good link. Check out #28 which may help some with the wiring

Hopefully you have the wiring diagram, it is usually in the control console.
I will not be able to find the diagram for this unit on the net as GE likes to keep all tech info a secret. Guess it keeps their techs busy.

Should I replace the resistor next or could it be something else?
No, as far as I know the resistor has nothing to do with starting the unit.

could you give me a ballpark figure to repair this machine?
No idea till you figure out what the cause is.

First check that the unit is getting the correct power.
Next high on the list would be a broken belt as the unit does have a belt/idler switch which probably cuts power to the motor.
Then perhaps a thermal fuse if there is one in the motor's circuit.
