Hi all, I just purchased this at clearance from sears. I got a great deal, i know its a discontinued model. I am not sure why this mess is happening. I dont want to return it if i can fix it. I am planning to take the pics to sears but they will probably try to charge a hell for reparing or returning and i dont have much time to get it back. This happens on the dishes as well i put in detergant and the rinsing agent just as directed. I tried high rinse and low rinse agency settings.

Any ideas how i can get this fixed.

Hi,

Looks like what happens when you don't have soft water. If you have a water softener it may not be set up or working correctly.

I don't have a water softener and the water is pretty hard. I got a measuring tool that checks the PPM it shows 550 for the tap water. Which i am considering purchasing a water softener. Until i get this i need to see if its the machine having problem. It doesn't have a place i can put salt in. How can i make sure this is not a problem on the machine. thanks.

Bosch recommends a vinegar rinse to clean the lines and stuff after you used it for a while. But yours is brand new right? I dont know about hard water stuff, but for vinegar rinse, you put on bottom rack a bowl with a cup or so of vinegar in it and nothing else and run it through the normal cycle. See what happens, cant really hurt anything. Also I read and agree that powder detergent works best.

The vinegar worked. Everything came out shiny and clean :) Looks like i need to get a water softener after all another 1000 to go. Any suggested options. I don't want the salt versions tho.

What kind of detergent did you use?

Did you use a rinse aid?

Gene.

I would recommend to use Electrasol tablets for three reasons.

This detergent is officially recommended by Bosch, it has sufficient amount of phosphorus to fight calcium and other hard water stuff and it WORKS. You can find a lot of positive reviews on line.

You may want to adjust it to lower setting, especially if dishes are sticky on touch after wash has been done. Also Electrasol 3-in-1 tablets contains rinse aid which reduce the amount of additional rinse aid.

You also can find some useful information in one of our previous posts: http://forum.appliancepartspros...g-element.html#post37989
