Hello,

5 out of 8 of the dishwasher buttons are now not working. I understand from reading many posts on various blogs that this is quite normal for this Bosch dishwasher, apparently a badly designed system. The problem is that the plastic springs in the back of the buttons tend to get brittle with time and eventually fail. I noticed on the Bosch web site that they sell not only the full control panel, but also the housing for the panel by itself, which seems in the drawing on their web site is where the the plastic springs are located. Do you think I can get away with buying the control panel housing only (their part # 26 4946) for US$ 35.40 versus having to buy the full control panel for US$ 121.90?

Thank you in advance for any reply. :)

Hi, I just replaced mine...it was pretty easy. The plastic housing splits in half and the two circut boards (conected by a ribbon wire) come out. Both come out by pressing little detent tabs. Note: If its not closing back up square check the boards for proper seating.
