I have a Comfortmaker furnace that continues to run. I have the house set at 70 degrees. The thermostat says 70 and the furnace will start up and run for about 5-8 minutes. It will shut off and sit for about 5 minutes then it will start back up and run again. The house is insulated well, and the house is warm but the furnace keeps running. any suggestions on a few things to check before calling in a tech?

I second the thermostat problem. Before you replace it try to just recalibrate it. or just replace it!
