I am trying to replace ice enclosure and I am having problems getting the ice dispenser yoke off of the auger motor. Can anyone help me with this?

Separating the yoke from the auger motor is a simple task. Remove the four screws that hold the front plate of the gear housing. The front plate with the drive gear, impeller shaft and the yoke, will all come off the gear housing as one unit. You will now need a bench vise or channel grip pliers. Make sure to wrap the bench vise jaws with a rag because you will be using the bench vise to hold the drive gear in place and you don't want to damage the teeth on this gear. Now you can use a long screw driver that is placed through the yoke to twist off the yoke from the drive shaft. These threads are counter clock wise or reverse threads. I know this response is way late, but I was having the same problem when I came upon this thread. Hope it will save someone else the expense of buying these two parts, that can be easily separated. Before putting the gear case cover back on- redistribute the grease over the moving parts.
