Hi,
Have A Kitchenaid Stove Superba Selectra Self clean, Thermal Convection electric stove/oven

Not really sure of its age.

It shows error code F2 right now
but I thought it had said F4 .

When it is plugged in there is a large click/clack sound.

the stove (elements) part works but the oven does not

I guess there is no way to reset the display or bypass the error code.

My wife was told it is a sensor error.

How much is the sensor and what part no is it.
Can it be substituted for stronger sensor?

Is it all worth it or should it go?
My wife like the oven because of the self clean and the convection, however I have seen elsewhere that the self clean is probably the cause of all my problems.

Thanks

The "F2" error code means "runaway temperature" and the "F4" error code means "shorted oven temperature sensor".

I'm not able to provide more accurate advise because the model number you posted does not come up.

Verify and repost it, please.

Gene.
