Side by side Frigidaire[FONT=Times New Roman, Times, serif;]....the freezer fan is not working. Before I replace the fan motor, is there a fuse that could have possibly gone out or a sensor to trigger the motor that may need to be replaced?

Try turning the blade in the correct direction while plugged in. Be careful as it may start up. If it does start, replace the fan. Even if you oil the bearings and get it to start it will be unreliable. Check that ice is not jamming the fan blade. If it is you may have a defrost problem. Unplug the unit, remove the wire from one side of the fan and check the fan's motor winding for continuity. If open it is toast. If OK Plug the fridge back in and check to see if the fan is receiving 120 volts. If yes, replace the fan If no The problem may be the Adaptive Defrost Board. |
