I have a Kitchen Aid Side by Side Refridgerator that we have had for 7 years. Two days ago we began to notice that the beverages, milk, beer, etc.. was warm. I unplugged the Refridgerator and cleaned out the coils real good.
Since the Refridgerator has been plugged in it keeps getting warmer and warmer. The Freezer is now begining to defrost.
The Fan in the back is working and I am at a loss what to check next.

Any suggestions?

Which coils and which fan?
You have a set of these for the compressor and also in the freezer.

Check to see if the compressor is running. Should be warm and you should be able to feel it vibrating.
If yes
Remove the cover from the evaporator coils so you can inspect them.
Check that the evaporator fan is running.
Be sure the unit has been running a couple hours before doing this. In other words do not do it just after a defrost cycle.
If they are clogged solid with ice and frost you have defrost problem.
If they only have frost in one area, usually where the freon enters the coils you are low on freon and have a leak somewhere.
If no hint of frost or cooling you are either out of freon or the compressor is toast

Here is the latest after a few days of trial and error.

Found broken wires in the freezer door wiring harness at the wear point between the door and cabinet. These have been repaired.
The refridgerator currently runs and with the control settings at the coldest points the freezer will maintain items that have been previously frozen, makes ice slowly (2 days and the ice bucket is less than half full) and will not freeze anything that was not frozen when put in.
The refridgerator will only get cool, not cold enough to maintain food.

The compressor and adjacent fan is running and there are no signs of a lack of refridgerant (frozen lines).

Again, the coils are clean and clear of dust, dirt, ect...

Any suggestion what my next step is?

Thank you for your help and advice.

The best indication of low freon is to inspect the evaporator coils.
If they are only frosting up where the freon enters the coils then odds are high that it is low freon.

Check that the evaporator fan is running.

You did not say if you had checked the evaporator coils so you may have a defrost problem.

If the compressor is cycling then you have a control problem.
The unit thinks it is at the correct temperature so is slowing down the compressor or could be the inverter is shot.
Note that this may be difficult to diagnose as the compressor is the inverter type so it changes speed and usually does not shut off.
