My oven baked fine on Wednesday, but on Thursday it would heat up to only 270 degrees. The broiler seemed fine. The repairman assumed the problem was the bake element. It was replaced, but not fixed. The repairman next replaced the clock/timer/eoc, but only the down arrow to change the temperature would work on the right side of the display and the bake, timer buttons on the left. All of the other buttons were not operational. The next morning when I tried to bake, the down arrow would not work either, thus leaving the entire oven out of commission- unless you count the light. Any ideas?

Here are your parts Replacement parts for FRG GLEB30S8ASA | AppliancePartsPros.comHere is a wiring diagram http://manuals.frigidaire.com/p...assomption/318046208.pdfAny ideas? Get a new repairman!!! All he had to do is check the element with a meter to see if it was OK. Since the original control board looked like it was OK as far as the buttons goes, it sounds like he installed a defective board. I hope you did not pay for these parts or let him take the old ones. This guy will cost you a fortune before he is done. Could still be the control board. Also may be the oven sensor. Could be a wire has burned off somewhere. |
