My Dryer wont start :(

Diagnostic test gives an F26.
The element is visibly broken & needs to be replaced. What else should I look at/replace before I order this element?

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL WED8300SW0 | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is the tech sheet
http://www.servicematters.com/d...0Sheet%20-%208572759.pdf

Unplug the unit for 20 minutes or so.
Then give it a try to see if the error still comes up.
If it runs OK but just does not have heat I would just order the heater.

If the error still occurs. Run the diagnostics as shown in the tech sheet.
