I have a gas hot water heat system in my house. It is the original since 1977. We get a carbon mon. warning in the 40's when we leave it on. I cleaned the unit very well and now we get a burnt smell that will set off the fire alarm at times. Everything seems to work well but I need to find out what is causing the carbon mon. alarm to go off all the time. Any ideas out there?

Thanks
