The pump or motor is very noisy. I've disassembled and cleaned the impeller and grinder from inside the unit. Can I replace the motor and pump assembly without having to pull the whole unit out from under the counter? Are there any service manuals that show the steps? Thanks.

Yes! Mine had a manual located behind the kick plate under the door (two screws holding it on). The drain pump twists off, then you disconnect some electrical connections. There are three plastic clips you pull around the motor assembly, then the entire assembly can be manuvered UP INTO the dishwasher. Mine had the loud pump motor problem, and it turned out to be a bad bearing IN the motor. I was able to replace the 608 bearing with a bearing I picked up at a skateboard shop. Put the whole thing back together and it runs like new (and quiet!).
