My Dryer stopped heating up so I check for continuity and found the Thermal Cut off was defective. I replaced it and the high limit as they came in a set (part 47 and 48). The dryer worked great for 3 months and then the same problem occurred again. Bad Thermal Cut Off.
What could cause this part to keep going bad?

One of most common problem caused a dryer to overheat is restricted exhaust line. Also I would recommend to check the blower wheel and the air duct inside the dryer. Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dryer Model GEQ8858JQ1Gene.
