Our washer seems to fill the tub with too much water. My wife stated that today the water continued to run in the washer, even after sopening the door and unplugging the washer itself. It was purchased in 1990, I'm figuring that it may be time for a new one. Can this be a simple fix?

your water inlet valve is bad, inexpensive part, but not quite sure how to get at it on your washer
