I am working on a maytag dryer, when you push the start button there is a buzzing noise. I tried bypassing the fuses 1 at a time and then tried all of the thermostats 1 at a time and continued to hear the buzzing noise. I then found the buzzer located on a panel in front of the motor. I bypassed the buzzer and the dryer worked perfectly every time I tried it, so I ordered a new buzzer thinking this was the problem. Installed the new buzzer and now have the same problem, buzzes everytime I push the button. The drum spins freely and blower wheel is clean. Has anyone had this problem? Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Have you tried opening the dryer door and holding down the door switch and the start button while a 2nd person manually spins the dryer drum? (all has to be done simultaniously) if dryer starts after doing that then most likely bad motor.

Probably a bad switch mounted to the motor. Take the cover off and clean the switch contacts, or order a new one if available.
