Oven door handle has been ordered and is being replaced (part WB15X10047). I am wondering if I need to remove whole door to make replacement and how that is done. Diagram seems to show two screws holding handle. Do I need special tool for these screws and do I take all the panels off? Someone mentioned locking the hinges in place with a nail through a pin-hole. Would I have to do that to the hinges on both sides

can it be done easily?

thanks

In order to replace the door handle the oven door must be removed from the oven.

You can find the complete instructions in the "Use and Care" manual (page 42).

Place the door on a flat surface with the front of the door facing down.

Remove screws holding the inner door panel and remove the inner door panel.

Now you should access the screws holding the door handle.

Here are the break down diagrams for the GE range Model JBP66BB2WH
