Timer and Knob Replacement For GE Top Load Washer

I changed the timer on a 2 year old GE top load washer. I also also ordered a new knob but they sent me a knob with a "D" shape for the timer shaft but the old knob, which is cracked, has teeth on it to engage the teeth around the timer shaft. The old knob has a groove in it and there is also a groove around the timer shaft. I suppose they line up and possibly some sort of clip keeps the knob tight on the shaft so it will stay on when you pull up on the knob to start machine. I can't find any info on a clip for the knob. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I got my wires crossed on this one. The correct model is WBSR3140G0WW. I looked up the correct model and found the spring clip I needed.
