In an attempt to fix thanksgiving I tried to get a $50 used oven. Got it installed and running and.....
the oven wouldn't light. Again with the thermocouple. I got it to fire a couple times by holding a lighter under the end of it but it was clearly on it's last legs. So now that I had that oven installed I started again with the process of finding replacement parts. I tried here first, found the part and ordered online because it was listed as in stock only to get a call next day saying it was special order. I went through 4 online parts web sites, each one listing the part as in stock only to have them call the next day they really didn't have it. I took me until last week to get my hands on a valve\thermocouple assembly for this oven. It fixed the oven but I must say I'm not at all pleased with having to shell out $70 for an entire valve assembly when all that really should be required is to replace the thermocouple. It's clear the assembly is being manufactured without a way to just replace the thermocouple and that's just to make it so you have to pay $70 or more when all you really needed was a $4 thermocouple.
