[FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']Hello[/FONT] [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']My Whirlpool duet dryer has a burnt smell.[/FONT] [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif'] [/FONT] [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']This is what I have done so far.[/FONT] · [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']Pulled off back of unit.[/FONT] · [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']Cleaned inside with vacuum[/FONT] · [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']Pulled off heating element and cleaned with vacuum[/FONT] [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif'] [/FONT] [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']Put back together. Still has a burnt smell and it is inside the drum. Cloths have the same smell.[/FONT] [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif'] [/FONT] [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']I assumed that the heating element is bad, but not sure. It puts out heat.[/FONT] [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif'] [/FONT] [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']Do you have any additional recommendations for replacement parts?[/FONT] [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif'] [/FONT] [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']Thank you[/FONT] [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']Todd[/FONT]
