I am uncertian, but I believe it may need shimming. I have been searching all morning for some type of schematic that could point me in the right direction. A few years back I replaced a metal housing on the back side of the washer that holds the drum centered. It may be wearing out again, but the noises are different this time. I am going to check it as well, but still believe the fix is elswhere. Any help would be greatly appreciate as buying another dryer is out of the questio. Thankyou, Ken Tampa, Fl.

Run your fingers around the back and front of the drum to ensure something has not jammed in there and is snagging the clothes. Be careful in case it is sharp. Under-wire bra wires are famous for this.

Also check that the inside drum baffle is tight.

Check the rear bearing it may be toast. To lubricate use a high temp grease.

I would also check the front glides and seals.
