I have change the defrost timer along with the bi-metal strip on the evaporator and still does not get cold. I can't even freeze water in the freezer over night. Is there another part that needs to be replaced to cure this problem? ty

does it get cold at all? a little chilly, or totally warm? does it make a humming noise for 3 seconds then a click?

need more details...

did you replace it with the EXACT timer? if not the timer might not be running.

let me know

yes replaced exact timer. gets chilly, evaporator gets frost on corner of the two copper lines, and about half way across the top of the coil. when it goes into defrost mode, heater is not coming on, it comes on when i jumper out the test switch. freezer gets to around 30 degrees, refrigerator no less than 50. ty
